Welcome to Alpha Omega Tau (AΩT)
Alpha Omega Tau (AΩT) is a specialized honor society for students and graduates of an occupational therapy assistant program who meet the eligibility requirements for Chapter establishment. AΩT recognizes and encourages superior scholarship in a specialized or given field of study at a school, college, or larger unit of a University or within a field of study of a two-year college.
AΩT Mission
To support excellence in occupational therapy by recognizing occupational therapy assistant students and professionals who have demonstrated distinction in scholarship leadership and service; and by fostering their continued growth and involvement in the field for the benefit of the profession and society.
AΩT Pledge
“Aware of the calling and responsibility of the occupational therapy assistant to represent, serve and lead in the profession of Occupational Therapy, I hereby pledge my efforts to further Alpha Omega Tau’s purposes and ideals, and to prove myself a worthy member of this honor society.”
AΩT Purpose
1. To recognize and encourage scholastic, service and leadership excellence of occupational therapy assistant students and professionals.
2. To contribute to the advancement of the field of occupational therapy through the scholarship, service and leadership activities of the members.
3. To provide a vehicle for members to exchange information and to collaborate regarding scholarship, service and leadership activities.
